Rep. Murphy named to Higher Education oversight panel

ATLANTA – Georgia House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) has tapped state Rep. Quincy Murphy (D-Augusta) to serve on the Georgia Higher Education Facilities Authority Committee.

“Representative Murphy is uniquely qualified to serve on this committee, and I am proud to have him in this role,” Richardson said.

The Georgia Higher Education Facilities Authority Committee is a joint committee of the state House of Representatives and state Senate. The committee will periodically inquire into and review the operations of the Georgia Higher Education Facilities Authority and evaluate the success with which the authority is accomplishing its statutory duties.
